A close encounter in Cordal today as our senior men kicked off their County League Campaign with a win.

Our goal coming courtesy of Mikey Kelliher from the penalty spot who kept his cool and slotted home after a foot block by the Cordal keeper in the first half.

Quick ball into our inside forwards caused all sorts of problems for Cordal with good scores again from Mikey with Alan Donoghue, Darragh Cunnane  and John Carmody contributing to the score board.

Jack Myers making good runs from deep kept the opposition on their toes and keeper Sean Broderick with a great two pointer helped to keep our noses just in front. 

Cordal never backed down, staying tight on our heels with some good scores of their own however when the pressure really came on, our backs and midfield stood strong making key interceptions and turnovers in the second half to help us see the game out for the win.
